Katya Hristova

Katya Hristova serves as Vice President of Development at ACRE, where she oversees the development and construction of multifamily and commercial assets across multiple funds within the firm’s investment portfolio. Prior to joining ACRE, Ms. Hristova was Vice President of Development at CIM Group, a privately held real estate private equity firm focused on ground-up development, where she led the delivery of approximately $1.5 billion in mixed-use, master-planned projects comprising 1,500 residential units, 300,000 square feet of retail space, and a 3,000-space structured parking facility.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Hristova served as Vice President of Pre-Development for the joint venture between Brookfield Asset Management and Simply Self Storage, where she oversaw land acquisitions and pre-development activities throughout the Southeast, as well as value-add initiatives across the venture’s 210-asset portfolio. She began her career as an architect and has led award-winning initiatives recognized by the Rockefeller Foundation and The Case competition.

Ms. Hristova completed the General Management Program at the Wharton School, holds a Master of Real Estate Development from Auburn University, and earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
