Sam Browne

Sam Browne is a Director of Credit at ACRE, where he is responsible for credit underwriting, capital markets execution, deal closings, and market research across all new originations and existing portfolio loans. He also supports the origination of new lending opportunities across the firm’s private credit platform. Mr. Browne brings more than eight years of experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, underwriting, and lending, having worked on over $3.5 billion of investments. His background includes executing CLO securitizations, capital markets transactions, B-piece investments, and asset management initiatives.

Prior to joining ACRE in 2019, Mr. Browne served as a Senior Real Estate Analyst at Granite Point Mortgage Trust (Pine River Capital Management), where he was responsible for underwriting and new originations for the firm’s real estate loan portfolio. Previously, he worked as an Analyst at Spring11, a subsidiary of Newmark Knight Frank.

Mr. Browne graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts, special honors, in Criminal Justice, with a Secondary Field of Study in Business. He is actively involved with the GW Center for Real Estate & Urban Analysis and The Dalton School.
